With the snow that we received on Tuesday and the forecast for more on Friday...I really didn't believe it was going to happen. Just because I was SO for sure this wasn't going to happen again I left my car out in front of the house and not under our covered parking. Although I was so set in my beliefs that it wasn't going to happen, I was still excited at the thought! When I rolled over at approximately 12:51 and looked out the window....I was SPEECHLESS!!!!!! It was literally a blizzard outside our house! I was so excited!!! I woke Chad up and begged him to go outside with me and build a snowman. He thought I was crazy since by this time it was 1 a.m. I couldn't sleep I was so excited...I just stood at the window and looked in complete disbelief for at least an hour! After an hour of Chad snoring...I finally gave up and went back to bed in hopes that he'd fulfill his promise and make a snowman with me when the "normal morning hours" were upon us!
Socorro ISD had a 3 hour delayed start but I was unable to get on interstate (it was shut down for a while)...much less get out of my own driveway.
I can't believe how much snow we received. I loved every minute of it...enjoy the pics!

Our Snow Covered House @ Approx 1 A.M. (This was just the beginning of the winter storm!) <3 it!

...With all the snow a lot of people have questioned this being the desert...here's a little help from dictionary.com
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/desert
I agree with the 5th definition: any place lacking in something (trees, water, grass, people...but not SNOW...at least not this past week!)

Amanda! I'm so jealous! It looks like you guys had so much fun! I don't know WHY he wouldn't make the snowman with you in the middle of the night! :) Hope all is going well!
