UP DATE!

So, I feel like I totally have a lot to blog about but I just hate posting blogs without pics! ...I realize that not every blog does require pics but all those blogging blues in my mind need to have visuals!
I will update you on the busy'ness here and post specific blogs, with pics, at a later date (when I have my connection cord). But for now, here's a breakdown of life in our shoes for the past week:

...We made the move to Travis County! That's right after just 10 days of finding out that we were granted a transfer the 26' Penske truck was loaded up and ready to go! My mom & Chad's dad flew out last Thursday to help us with the packing and thanks to our landlord's parents for lending us some workers who were a huge help! The 8 hour drive, last Saturday, didn't seem too bad this time (like they have for all of my doctor appointments)! Chad drove his state truck, Jimmy drove the Penkse, and mom and I drove Chad's personal truck; my car stayed behind since I will need transportation to and from work as I complete my contract with Socorro.

We arrived in Lago Vista where we met our new landlord to complete the lease paperwork. Shortly after, our muscle mania help arrived: Braxton (G.W.), Theron (G.W.), & Ashley (G.W. Wife). Karen, Chad's mom, was waiting in the driveway when we pulled up; her excitement couldn't be hidden! We had the truck unloaded in a record amount of time and thanks to the Karens (my mom and Chad's mom) who completely stocked our kitchen cabinets with dishes, food...etc! Jimmy, as always, did a great job of directing! =) We were exhausted and after our help left Chad & I decided to order in pizza while his parents and my mom left to go find some dinner for themselves.

The next morning Chad & Jimmy returned the Penske and spent a few hours driving around while us ladies surprised Chad when he returned with a completely decorated and organized office! Our family left a few hours later and with their help our house now looked like a home. We could NOT have made this move without the 3 of them and our hearts are forever thankful for their willingness to fly, drive, pack, load, unpack, and of course buy our first pile of groceries (THANKS MOM)! Chad also left on Sunday to drive to Hamilton for some scheduled training. It was so hard for him to leave as I knew this would be the last time I would see him for 19 days; to some that may seem like no problem...but I LOVE MY HUBBY and I knew that me flying back to El Paso to finish out the school year was not going to be easy without him! I did some more unpacking, loved on my pups (who I would also have to part with for 19 days), and completed an application for my interview on Monday.

Monday morning I woke up all alone in our new house and prepared for my interview with Sante Pediatrics. The interview went well, but at this time they are not currently hiring. However, they did tell me that in July they would be getting more of an idea if they will need more therapists as this is a time when the caseload usually increases; I'm praying they get bombarded with kids as I have wanted to work for Sante for the past 4 years, but the opportunity had just never presented itself! ...We'll see what happens; I'll definiately be looking for a call in July! After my interview this left me with a few hours to pack my bags to head back to the West. Thanks to Ashley for picking me up and dropping me off at the airport; my heart was breaking inside the whole ride...leaving ATX and all of my loves there just didn't seem right, but I knew that I could do it because in the end the reward outweighs the short period of negative'ness.

Hartley was waiting for me in El Paso and here I've been for the past week, sleeping in their office on a cot (with extra padding; thanks Dustin) which has actually been more comfortable than I expected. Living with them has definiately been "exciting" and when I get a job offer I will reassure Dustin that all the hours I've spent on his computer filling out applications and submitting paperwork (resume, letters of recommendation, transcripts...etc..etc...etc) were worthwile. He will have his office back soon enough as they are expecting baby #2 any day now! Dixon should arrive on May 20th or May 24th if all goes as planned; we'll see! When he makes his appearance I will then move on from here and go live with my school librarian and dear friend, Dawn. This will be nice since my time here will be broken up and hopefully I won't intrude too much on any one families home!

I have been applying for jobs like crazy and as of last night I have applied with Sante Pediatrics and for SLP openings with 6 different school districts. I am praying, praying, praying that I get some calls this week! I know the Lord's hand has been in this move so I know He has a plan and will continue to provide. I've never moved to place and started paying rent somewhere that I didn't have a job; that is kind of freaking me out! When my stress levels rise I try to take a deep breath and remember that our prayers have been answered and trust in the Lord since I know His ways are best!

...All in all this short time of distance separation (El Paso-Austin) has been okay. Chad has been busy with work and so far, so good! I'm so happy that he finally has water to work; I know he will love it! I've kept myeslf busy applying for jobs and I don't plan on slowing down anytime soon! Today is actually the 2 year anniversary since Chad's graduation from the Texas Game Warden Academy, and I do believe that I am the proudest wife of a Texas Game Warden there is! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to him and I pray that he always knows that he has a wife that supports him in all that he does, in all that he is, and all that he wants to be!

GOD BLESS!

Hey girl. How's it going? Not too much longer till you get to see your hubby. I know you miss him so much. Can't wait till you get moved. I'll get you and my sister together and you will meet so many friends. Take Care!
