Christmas w/ the Cowans!

My mom & Jay came down this past weekend and we had a great time. Mom spoiled Chad by bringing him his 3 favorite homemade treats (white chocolate dipped pretzels, trash mix, and rice krispie treats). She had told me that she was going to bring the rice krispie treats then he put in his special requests for the other 2 as well, HA! Mom & Jay brought me some Round Rock Donuts...YUM! We are a little spoiled, I guess!

We enjoyed our Saturday morning by exchanging gifts. The rest of our day consisted of snacking, napping, and cleaning out the closet in Kylan's room along with the chest of drawers that we moved from our guest bedroom into the nursery, all while Chad worked. We were super productive and it was so nice to have their help. We counted down the New Year by playing spades; party, party! Sunday morning we went to church then mom and I went shopping while Chad & Jay played a round of golf. Did you know that Dillard's has a H-U-G-E New Year's Day sale each year?!?! They mark lots of stuff down 50% then you get to take an extra 50% off. So say you find a purse that was originally $200, the sale price is $100, then the clearance/final price is $50. Isn't that crazy?!? Yea, we shopped it up! I bought 2 scarves, a belt, 2 tops, and a wrap/shawl...all on sale. Then I bought a pair of super cute leopard w/ sequins Sperry's (regular price)....SOOOO CUTE! I bought Kylan a pair of Sperry's (regular price) and I bought Chad a long sleeved Ralph Lauren polo (clearance)! Mom and I stopped by Babies R Us to look at strollers and she quickly realized why I've been a little stressed about this decision. ...After it was all said and done she agreed with the stroller and carseat we have on our registry. We met Chad & Jay for dinner, yummy...El Patron, then bought Chad a pair of Sperry's at Academy. (look for an upcoming Sperry picture in the maternity pics!) ...I of course already have a pair, but I couldn't resist a new pair...why not?!?!?

We had a great Christmas with them and can't wait til next year's new Christmas tradition of celebrating in Broken Bow!

Mom & Jay...
Mom got a new purse (little black purse per her request), 6 scarves (she looooves scarves!), a clothes steamer, some jewelry, and a pretty serving platter. She also cashed in on some stocking goodies!
Jay got money for his guitar and a t-shirt. He also racked up in the stocking department!

Kylan...spoiled again!
Mom & Jay bought Kylan lots of goodies...stuffed animals (alligator, moose), some toys, books, tummy time play mat, pacifiers, onesies, food storage, SANTA cookie platter...milk mug...and wish list, etc!

I was sooo excited to get my FLIP video camera, decoration goodies, scarf, jewelry, books, CHI hair brush, etc!




Chad...
Chad got a Cavendar's gift card (more boots headed our way), new drill (just in time...his just broke!), manly coffee mugs (oh boy!), game camera, and lots of other stocking goodies!





Nursery Time!

ALL of Kylan's gifts from family and friends! This does not include what Chad & I bought for him; crazy! So blessed to have such thoughtful people in our lives who are already loving our baby boy and spoiling him rotten!
