It is Sunday - August 10 & I just noticed that I have not been keeping the "blogger world" up to date on the West.
I have been so completely busy with work and any 'free' time that I have is usually not really 'free'!
I am still enjoying my job. There have been ups and there have been downs (my secondary supervisor is leaving), but all in all...it's still great! I begin the 'work day' process around 4 a.m. each morning. That's right...the first alarm goes off at 4:00 and the second at 4:20. I usually try to leave the house by 5:45. You may ask yourself..."Why so early?"....Well, I get up and eat breakfast #1...check my email...get ready (shower, hair, clothes...etc!) and head out so that I can arrive in El Paso early enough to get breakfast #2. That's right...when you eat your first meal at 4 something...your hungry before the work day ever begins! I usually arrive to school around 7:10, which is 20 minutes early.
This schedule seems to be working out...but I am definitely ready for our first break at the end of September!
Chad and I have made plans with our friends Trey & Dedra to head to OKLAHOMA....our favorite mini vacation get away! We will fly out of El Paso on the Wednesday-September 24 and head to Texarkana to stay with my mom & Jay for a few days. Then on Friday-September 26 we'll meet up with Trey & Dedra at go to our cabin in Beaver's Bend (Brokenbow Lake). We'll stay for 2 nights and have lots of fun playing golf, hitting the lake, and just hanging out like the good 'ole East Texas days...except we'll be in Oklahoma! On Sunday-September 28 we'll head back to Athens to visit with Chad's family. We are both very excited to go back home and see some trees and paved roads!!!! BUT...most of all to see our friends and family who we love so much! We'll spend a few days in Athens and then head back to the WEST on Wednesday-October 1.
LET THE COUNTDOWN BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

So glad you're enjoying your job! I could NEVER get up at 4 am... except for the day after Thanksgiving sales! That's just once a year!
