Jungle Mania

The back yard is looking less and less like a jungle; HA! We had another cedar tree cut down and Chad and I have been busy trimming the other trees in the yard! You can now see the house from the yard and see the yard from inside the house! =) It really is looking so much better and we are pleased with our hard work. The next step with the back yard will be to level it out so that we can can throw down some seed in hopes to have some green in the back this summer (next summer we hope to sod the back like we will be doing with the front this summer). The back yard will be a work in progress for a while since we want to make a fire pit area, enlarge the patio, do some "revamping" to the flower beds, plant grass, install sprinklers...etc. Next summer it will be lush and perfect, I'm sure; until then we will continue to enjoy "doing our thing" to it so that it will be all that we know it can!

I trimmed up these trees that border the kitchen and master bedroom windows, previously you could barely even see out of the windows from inside of the house...NOW you can!

Chad trimmed the elm tree which had branches literally bending down and touching the ground! It's crazy to know that we used to not even be able to walk up to the tree trunk and NOW we can walk all the way around and under the tree without limbs in our face and down to our feet!

We hired Chetin, and his crew, to come back and chop down a huge cedar tree that was in our back yard that was beginning to touch our roof. We have so much more sunlight in the backyard and NOW it looks less like a jungle!

The area where the cedar was cut down and NOW with the trimmed Elm!

...I realize to most the backyard still looks like, um...well less than perfect BUT you have to realize what we started with...A JUNGLE! =)
