A BIG ANNIVERSARY

Chad & I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary on April 8th. This year it fell on Easter Sunday and Chad literally had to drag me to church! I was having some contractions that Sunday morning, yes...HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, ha! I rested through the early morning hours on the sofa and by the time church rolled around I was feeling a little better so Chad insisted that we get ready for church. ...I secretly think he was more concerned about the fantastic home cooked lunch we were invited to and knew that if we missed church we'd miss lunch at our friend's house too, HA! =) Church was great and lunch was yummy! We celebrated Easter with our church family then enjoyed lunch with Surls, Markhams, and part of the Hall family. Chad and I had a low key anniversary dinner at Sonic then headed down the street to the park for a lakeside sunset. It was a beautiful night! I could hardly concentrate on our anniversary since I was more concerned with what was happening inside of me! I spent ALL night up and down, in and out of bed, contraction after contraction, in intense pain! It wasn't until 3 or 4 Monday morning that I thought about calling the doctor. I finally made the call around 6 something and she encouraged me to come in to her office. To make a long story short, they monitored my contractions and told me to walk across the street...TO THE HOSPITAL! That's right, on the eve of our sweet baby's birth we were celebrating Christ's resurrection and our own anniversary. What a very special day that I will never ever forget!
