Devotions for Each Morning of the Year

"And he believed in the Lord, and He counted it to him as righteousness." (Genesis 15:6)
Spending time with God keeps you stable, steadfast, and calm. God says He "will strengthen and harden you to difficulties". When your faith is fed daily by God's presence, the devil can't control you, because you don't get easily upset.
Being filled with God's truth makes it easier to live the life God has for you. Let God be your anchor in the midst of the raging waves of circumstances. Remain steadfast in God.

THIS IS SO TRUE AND SO WHERE I AM RIGHT NOW! Amidst the raging battles that it seems I am faced with so often over this past year and a half...God has been my rock the one I lean upon when I feel 'pushed'. He keeps me up! PRAISE GOD FOR THAT! Truly, if it weren't for my faith, hope, and trust in the Lord I would be angry (VERY ANGRY), upset, hurt...etc...etc! BUT it's because of my strength in Him that when 'rain storms' (many times seem like HELL (hail) STORMS) come my way...my human self gets upset, gets discouraged but then I read the Word or spend time in prayer and automatically have a peace. I have a choice when these things happen. Let my human self continue to feel frustrated and upset or give it to the Lord. I will continue to give it the the Lord!
Thank you God for being my refuge!
~Amanda~
