Yesterday I made a surprise trip to see Teri. We sat (which she is a pro at!) and talked and had a great visit. I arrived around noon and left...around 5 or so. Jared & Teri are such a great people and I'm so glad that we've had the opportunity to get to know them. I can't wait to see those babies and I just continue to pray for safety and health over their whole family.
When I left Teri's I decided to drive even further to Marfa to visit with Derek & Emily. Emily and I went to the Paisano Hotel where they filmed the movie Giant with James Dean, Elizabeth Taylor, and Rock Hudson; the shops there were really neat. We were planning on a nice dinner until Chad got caught up with a potential drug bust back in Hudspeth County. We visited at their house and then I left their house and got home around 10:30 last night. It was a long fun day putting another 300+ miles on the Altima! No big deal, it was so worth it!
Today I was pleasantly surprised when Kelly Whatley called me. I called her on Valentine's but they weren't home. It was so good to talk to her. I haven't talked to her since before Christmas so it was so nice to hear her and the boys voices (in the background telling me how NICE EAST TEXAS is)..haha...they always give me a hard time.....those boys take after their daddy!
It's amazing the people we've met since we've been out here...great people with wonderful hearts (for the most part...anyways).
