Warden West & His New Office

Well...Chad's new office is almost complete! He moved his office from Sierra Blanca to Fort Hancock which is closer to where we live and closer to most of his 'hot spots'. It's more peaceful since the jail and dispatch is located in Sierra Blanca...there's not always the constant noise here at the sheriff's office in Fort Hancock...so it's a much more enjoyable work environment when there is a need for an office.
We looked all over El Paso for a bookshelf and all we found was expensive pieces at the furniture stores and expensive (poorly made) pieces at the office supply stores. We finally made THE PURCHASE from El Paso Connection which buys all their furniture from Mexico. The men make the furniture in Mexico...bring it over on a trailer and sell it to the store. They have lots of families who supply them with all of the furniture that they sell there. It's neat because it's obviously hand crafted and each piece is unique. The bookshelf that we purchased was made across the Rio and we were informed that the man is now in jail. INTERESTING!
Anyways, Chad loves it and I think we got a good deal...$209 for a 7 foot bookcase...all natural Mexican made!
We also bought Chad a new chair since the one they provided was um...small and broken. HAHA! Chad's friends call his new chair the "Hughey Chair"...as in Hugh Hefner. HAHAHAHHA! He enjoys it!

Fishing equipment that Warden West confiscated! Yes...that hanging from the ceiling is a man made fishing net (out of chicken wire and a stick), along with fishing poles, and another net on the floor.
