The story is simple, short, and sweet (well not really sweet)...
Last night Chad was working and Mudder started her "THE ILLEGALS ARE CROSSING" barking. I immediately looked out the window but of course in the midnight darkness I couldn't see anything.
I sent a text to Chad, because he was taking someone to jail so I didn't want to call. He called our friend, who happens to be a sheriff deputy. He was on a call but got here as soon as he could. When 119 and 111 got here they didn't see anything so they just hung out with me until Chad got home.
Today Chad and I made a trip to his new office and as we were returning we noticed huge footprints to the left of our driveway right along the edge of the cotton field. CRAZY! They were big as day and were 'sunken' in (is that a word?!?!) due to the rain we had a couple of days ago. We immediately hopped on the 4 wheeler and traced the tracks! They went along the cotton field beside our house and then through the desert terrain where they eventually got back on the 'dirt path' that leads from our driveway to I-10...it's not a road...just a path that they've obviously carved out! We ended up seeing 3 sets of footprints that crossed through the fence. CRAZY, CRAZY, CRAZY!
Chad called B.P. and 2 agents came out. We chatted with them about our continuing problems and they said they would track the prints to see if they headed North of the interstate or if they were picked up.
Anyways...that's the story.
