Chad and I really enjoy working outside in the yard and making EACH & EVERY house we live in...our own, in small ways. We've planted flowers and plants in the front & back of our new place. We water these new beautiful creations and our grass everyday; I'm really surprised that our water bill is not more than it has been! It gets so hot out here and because of the high winds it really dries everything out! We bought a new flag, because our other one was 'in bad shape' and hung it up on the side of the house...so that everyone who drives down the road or runs through our cotton field (HaHa) will know that this is the U.S.A. & we are proud Americans! The grass is really looking good; especially for grass in the desert! We fertilize, water, and miracle grow....hoping to bring a little of East Texas to the West! HaHa! The dogs really like it here and love being set free in front of the house to run and roam as they please! The flies & moths are everywhere out here! Is it because we live on a farm?!?! I don't know but man...they drive me crazy!!!!!!!!! We purchased some tiki torches for ambiance and fly repellent. We also found these fly traps that really work...but can get pretty 'smelly' once it fills up with flies. (Yes I took a picture for you incase you have this problem too!...Just don't hang it near your door....it's not too beautiful to look at and the smell can get pretty bad). Since our move to West Texas we've also seen lots and lots of centipedes...SCARY! I hate insects, bug, reptiles...etc! I've looked this up...and if I'm looking at the right one...I believe they are....poisonous! (Yes, I also took a picture of this...make sure your ready...it's at the very bottom!)
