...Yea, August 15 was more than a month ago...I can't believe I let myself get so behind!
So...what have we been up to the past 6 weeks, you might ask....
The month of August was a "wake up call" for me to get back into the groove of "THE SCHOOL THING"...waking up early, driving to & from El Paso everyday, being away from Chad & the dogs, and of course back in the routine with my speech kids!
For Chad's birthday (September 3) I surprised him with a road trip to Ruidoso, New Mexico; one of our new favorite places! I took off on the 2nd & 3rd and we spent the night at the Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort. We enjoyed our time in Ruidoso shopping, gambling, and golfing; it was wonderful! ...OH YEA, & I made a HOLE IN ONE!!!!!!!!!! Yes, on September 3 on Hole #5 126 yards...I teed off and BAAM....INTO THE HOLE MY BALL WENT! I don't think I've ever been so surprised and excited in my life! Chad & I both immediately started screaming and with my screams came tears, jumping, falling to my knees and the feeling of really being ON CLOUD NINE! WOW! What a day in history that I will forever remember. They even registered my Hole in One with the United States Golf Register http://http//www.usgolfregister.org/searchview.asp?idx=147301! ...This completely made my day, year, life; haha! Really...it's a huge accomplishment and honor that I am so proud of.

Last weekend, Chad's parents drove out. It was such a joy to have company!!! Chad & Jimmy did lots of bonding activities (working, hunting...etc) and Karen & I enjoyed a day of pampering (shopping, massages...etc)! It was really nice to visit with them at our "home" and we look forward to the day when we'll be able to spend more time (like we used to) with our wonderful friends and family back East!
This past Thursday, Chad & I drove to Van Horn to meet Mr. William Thomas Casey! Baby Wil is the new baby of Bro. Rob & Julie. He is absolutely adorable and completely lovable! I think I could hold him forever!!!!! We had a great visit with them and an awesome dinner; thanks Rob!
We spent this morning in Van Horn @ church and I'm now working on some clipboards while Chad is out working.
I promise not to wait another month to post again!!!!!!!! I know there are so many important things that I have missed; so I will try my hardest to get "back on track" and keep you guys updated!

+ Nita Cutting & family (friend of mine who just lost her husband from a sudden heart attack; funeral was today)
+ Jay Cowan & family (my mom's husband who just lost his brother; funeral was Friday)
+ Eric & Mandy Godwin (Chad's cousin & wife; as God prepares their family for the adoption of Baby Evan VERY SOON and the birth of their own child...WOW, God IS Amazing!)
+ Grace Spears (friend; upcoming birth of Baby Jacob)
