Just a Fav!

I have several favorites that just make my life easier and better...gotta love the favs! What are yours? My recent fav outing list is as follows:
#1 of course, THE HUBS! ...Gotta love quality time with him and I'm trying to sneak him away from work for some extra us time here lately, just a few hours of escape time to do the things we enjoy! Last night, after all day and evening of working for him, we went out to eat @ The Olive Garden (yum!!!) and made a stop by Barnes & Noble, which leads me to another fav!
#2 BARNES & NOBLE!!!!! I love the smell...the endless shelves of books, who doesn't?!?! I enjoy reading but only certain kind of books...self help and travel mostly. I'm not much into escaping into another world, I just want to make mine better! =) I picked up some goodies that I'm really excited about!
Last weekend our escape was a short trip to one of our fav stores...
#3 Academy I have just recently added this store to my fav list, (so...welcome to the group Academy)! They have great work out gear and a pretty good shoe department (tennis shoes of course); of course Chad enjoys them for every item they have in stock; HA! So glad that we can enjoy a store together, that says a lot for a company!
So those are my top 3 for the past 2 weekends, of course Chad is always #1 consistently in the "fav department"! Good job hubs on never loosing your #1 seat! =)
I try not to do too much on the weekends, my week is busy enough with driving around the world seeing patients but I do try to find the time to make a get-a-way with the hubs when I can to do something that we both enjoy.
So glad that we both agree on Barnes & Noble and Academy; woohoo!
(you may be wondering what Chad likes about Barnes & Noble...#1 Starbucks, #2 Magazines...hunting, fishing, golf, wood work...etc, #3 Guitar Books, #4 The $50 Office Clue Game that he found last night!)

Oh yea...funny story before I share a few pics...
So last night we're in the magazine section of Barnes & Noble on different ends and I see a man pic up a magazine about Maui so I begin talking to him about this beautiful place...asking if he's going there...etc. He proceeds to tell me that his friends son is getting married there soon...etc...etc. We had a nice little convo about Maui; Chad is on the opposite end minding his own business; HA! I then found some magazines that interest me so I went to a bench to sit and browse my magazines along with the pile of books that I have to look through. This super cute couple with a 13 month old little girl walk by and make small talk with me about my book selection. We had a nice long convo about traveling, work, family, honeymoons, toe nail polish...etc. Chad was no where to be found...well no where near anyways; HA! I really enjoyed my newly conversed friends and when I finally found Chad I was excited to tell him about my convos. I asked how many friends he made and he said, "Well I told one guy excuse me." HA...I replied, "Oh, so you made 1 enemy and I made 4 friends!" HA! This husband of mine really cracks me up sometimes, he is so outgoing and friendly but when he's on a mission he's not there to make friends; I think this is his "work side" coming out. He was looking for a certain something and wasn't stopping to browse at people and their selections, as was I, along the way!

I love our time together, it is always full of love and laughter!! Thanks husband for some "escape" time last Saturday and last night; I heart you!

Nike Shorts from Academy, they keep coming out with more colors and designs and this makes me SO happy! If I could I would buy every new pair when I'm in there...but I limit myself, so last Saturday I just bought 1 pair ::sigh::. Chad started this trend, so I like to blame it on him! He bought me my first 2 pair 2 Christmases ago (the gray and black); the shorts are in order of purchase...HA, I'm a little OCD sometimes! =)
