Neighbor-Hood

I must say how much I love the neighborhood we live in!  It's a small neighborhood with just 4 streets and approximately 40-50 houses total.  It's perfect for us.  It's "out" from town so you get the "secluded vibe" with all the amenities of a neighborhood that I love: neighbors (...YES, I like neighbors!), paved streets (NOT a fan of dirt or gravel roads), and the ability to know that your neighbors live in houses just as nice as yours and that those that will be built in the future will be just as nice or even nicer (NOT a fan of purple houses or shacks that are next to some of these nice houses we'd like to live in out in the country).  We know our neighbors and we love our neighborhood!

This morning we noticed we were out of eggs as Chad was making pancakes...so, I sent a text to a neighborhood friend and wah-laa, a few minutes later and a short walk to her house and we had an egg! ;)

This afternoon Kylan and I went on our daily walk (1.1 mile to be exact) around the neighborhood and it was so pleasant!  We heard an owl, lots of birds, and water running from the pond to the stream; how peaceful!  We saw a girl lying on a quilt in her front yard painting, several little kids riding bikes, a mom and daughter playing volleyball, and a father and son playing basketball.  Our neighborhood is full of families and I feel so blessed that we found this house!

Kylan enjoys these walks as much as I do.  He usually just watches as we pass by the different houses and turns his head as each car passes or a neighborhood dog greets us as we pass their house but today he figured out that he can also see his momma!  I love this baby boy so much and I'm so glad to be his momma and share in these moments with him!
