One year ago today Chad graduated from the Texas Game Warden Academy! What a long 7 1/2 months that was while he was living in Austin, and I...in Athens.
I am so proud of my husband for going through the academy after obtaining his degree from SFA, working for several years at a job that he did not enjoy, going through the police academy to gain 'law enforcement knowledge and experience', and riding with other Wardens for several years.
I saw the dedication in Chad before he ever mentioned his dream career to me.
I know there were many not so fun times for him while he was in the academy, but he made it! What a challenge for not only him, but us....God knew we could handle it!
I'm also so proud of him for taking his duty station assignment and making the most of it. We're kind of like fish out of water, out here in the desert! ...We can survive...but not unless someone throws us back soon! HAHA!!!!!!!! What a great analogy!
Chad has already done so much out here in the West! He's, of course, written tickets for no fishing license, trespassing, trespassing with a firearm, hunting after hours, assisted with DWI/DUI, torn apart cars with state troopers looking for drugs and/or money, confiscated drugs and drug paraphernalia, captured illegals crossing over, etc...etc!!!!!!
SO this blog is entirely dedicated to my Wonderfully Dedicated, Fun Loving, Hard Working, Fish Out of Water Husband...MY TEXAS GAME WARDEN, Chad West!
