I celebrated the day (January 22nd) with lots of birthday texts, phone calls, and messages from friends; it’s so nice to be remembered.
I’ve made working on birthdays (Chad’s & mine) and our anniversary something that I just don’t do; I’ve learned life is way to short and these times are far too precious to pass up…however, this year...I did go to work.
I’ve been off so much this year for doctor appointments, with more to come, that I just really couldn’t “afford” to be off on Friday, it was such a hard decision but Chad was great and encouraged me that this year it was more important to find “help” and we would have enough time to celebrate once I got off…and boy did we!
While I was at work Chad came for lunch and cake which our SPED at my campus provided, it was so nice to have him there!
After work we enjoyed dinner at Carlos & Mickey’s, my personal fav! I couldn’t believe my gift…a black bag (as I was sneaking a peek while Chad was attempting to hide it from me…haha!)….who puts gifts in a black bag?!?!...I could obviously tell it was from a store….but this must be a store I wasn’t familiar with. Hm…I really had no idea! I could tell it wasn’t very big…what in the world did he get me?!? He DID make me wait until we had our chips, salsa, and drinks….and to my surprise it was so worth the wait…PEARL EARRINGS!!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness, I couldn’t believe it! REAL, PEARL STUDS!!!!!!!! I still can’t believe it! They are absolutely gorgeous and I must say they look great on! =) He keeps getting better and better at this gift buying stuff! WOW, I am so impressed! Chad really is so thoughtful; God has truly blessed me with a man that loves me and goes above and beyond for me. I am so blessed in so many ways!
It was also great hearing from my Mamaw as I know it is so hard for her to talk on the phone these days; that meant so much to me.
My birthday was great day and I wish that it didn't have to end.

Happy birthday!!! Love the pearls, what an awesome hubby!! Our bags came from Dillards... she got them this past summer for cheap.. end of summer sale. I think they were regular $60 and she got them for $18...awesome!!!
