I encourage EVERYONE to purchase this book and read it. It really challenges you and changes your way of thinking, and hopefully encourages you to change your life.
This book is only 150 pages with 10 chapters titled: Stop Praying, You Might Not Finish This Chapter, Crazy Love, Profile of the Lukewarm, Serving Leftovers to a Holy God, When You're in Love, Your Best Life...Later, Profile of the Obsessed, Who Really Lives This Way?, & The Crux of the Matter.
When I first picked up this book at the store and saw that the first chapter was 'Stop Praying' I immediately put it back down on the shelf and kept looking. Why do I need to stop praying?!?!...However, something kept drawing me back to this book...maybe it was that Chris Tomlin (who I absolutely love) wrote the foreword. I read the back of the book and decided to take a chance with this book. I'm so glad that I did.
After talking about this book I realized that my mom and Jay also had this book and love the author...Francis Chan.
I definitely think I picked a winner and hope my next book...Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World by Joanna Weaver is just as good (pictured to the right).
