No...I did not get to meet Ty...I didn't even see him. He flew to Arizona to film a segment for another Extreme Makeover Home Edition. I 'heard' that he will be back tomorrow! WOOHOO! I'm thinking about checking the flights from Tucson to El Paso and see when he might arrive IF he is flying commercial. ?!?!? What do you think?!?!? I think it's a great idea and my only shot of possibly getting up close and personal for a pic!
I did however....have a wonderful time and do somethings that I did not expect to do!
I got a great pic with Rib Hillis (Designer) AND HIS AUTOGRAPH on my Gap Favorite White "T" & a photo of Paige Hemmis (Designer).
I also got the opportunity to cheer on the guys who were building the house. I was picked out of the audience standing in awe of the construction and gladly accepted my position! They gave me an official HARD HAT & an EXTREME MAKEOVER HOME EDITION T-SHIRT! WOOHOO!!!!!!
I whole heartily cheered on the workers & came up with the following chants to get the crowd included:
"Let's Go Builders...Let's Go..."
"Build It Fast...Make It Last..."
"Desert View Homes...Let's Go..."
"Give Me An E...E! Give Me A L...L! Give Me A P...P! Give Me An A...A! Give Me A S...S! Give Me An O...O! EL PASO!!!!!!!!!!
The crowd cheered loud and the guys LOVED it!!!!!!! It was so exciting!
I am going back tomorrow to the site to take some more pictures and see who else is there! I can't wait to see the other designers and Ty!

Hi,Amanda...I'm Emily R's mom. I read your blog all the time, but have never commented! BUT, I'm so excited about you going out to this building site! When will this program air? Think we'll get to see you NATIONAL TV???? And, I think going to airport to meet Ty is a perfect idea! Keep cheering them on....it will make it easier to recognize you in the crowd if they show it on tv!ha!
