"When we lived back home I was an aide with kindergarten down at Cross Roads and when we moved out here there were no positions open anywhere close by. The Littlejohn family had just moved here from Quitman, he was the new Athletic Director and she was kindergarten. Makena was 2 and Kyler was only 6 months old. I was subbing at the school and was in her room getting to know her and we started talking about how they couldn't find a sitter for the girls they really trusted....it was so neat how God just placed us all there at the same time because before we both knew it she was asking me to pray about being their sitter and coming to their house to do it...which was great since they live right across the street from the school. I prayed and knew God was telling me that family needed me and that I needed them! It has truly been a blessing for us, having to move and leave everyone behind, especially both our daughters who were 18 and 19 at the time. Our son was only in the 7th grade and so we all just adopted each other! Those two little girls are like our grandchildren, in fact my husband calls then his grandbabies! lol And Andy just adores them but being 16 he tries not to let too many of the other kids at school see how he really feels about them. So anyway that is the story of why they are so special to me and don't ask me why I wrote all this to you.....ha ha ha. I guess I just wanted you to know what two sweet and very smart little girls you are making clipboards for. Again, thank you for doing them, Kyler will be excited on the 31st when she opens that and I know I won't be able to wait until Makena's b-day in April and will end up giving it to her before then."
