I could not contain my excitement on the way to work and called my mom. She, of course, encouraged me not to go in and to go wait at the house, on Ty. I told her that my Supervisor, Catalina also encouraged me to go wait on him. HOW AWESOME IS THAT!
So after I got off the phone with my mom I called Cat (I was like 5 minutes from work and 10 minutes past the Extreme Home Makeover Site...Time was approx 7:10). Cat told me that she knew I wouldn't be able to concentrate (haha) if I went to work. I went ahead and went in and did my morning duty. I talked to my principal who encouraged me to go ahead and see the kids that I missed (due to benchmark testing) during the week.
So instead of seeing them at their normals times...I pulled them in 3 groups of approximately 6-8 kids in each group. NOT BAD!
I was out of there by 10.
Thanks to Dawn (school librarian) for the 3 PERMANENT SHARPIE MARKERS!!!!!!!!! (Have you noticed that I always make great friends with the librarians...they are such awesome people!) Anyway...
I was on my way!
When I got to the parking lot to get on the shuttle I walked to the volunteer tent with my shirt on and hard hat in hand! I was thinking maybe they'll give me something to do. A BIG NO ON THAT ONE...THEY ALSO TOOK MY HARD HAT! OH well! They said no one was supposed to leave with them and if they needed me again I'd get another one while I worked. DARN IT!
I continued on my way to the shuttle where I questioned the driver about Ty's 'where abouts'...he told me that he could not give out any information. I just knew this was a good thing and meant that he was there right then!!!!!!!!! I wanted him to step on the gas...drive faster...let the pedestrians wait!!!! HAHA!
I got to the drop off and walked a couple of blocks to the house frantically looking for THE ONE...THE ONLY...TY PENNINGTON.......nowhere!
I did however get another great pic with Rib and got him to sign my NEW SHIRT that I got from volunteering...it was now my quest to get all 4 designers to sign my shirt and take pics with me....and that's just what I accomplished! WOOHOO...GO ME!
The designers of the house are Rib Hillis, Paige Hemmis, Paul DiMeo, & Eduardo Xol.

Chad & I are supposed to be making a trip over there today so hopefully Ty will sneak in a day early! If I don't see him today...I will go back tomorrow and of course again Monday for the reveal.
I can't wait.
This has really been a once in a lifetime opportunity and I am so glad to just be able to watch in person! It is so amazing! Desert View Homes has done a fantastic job orchestrating this whole build. Kudos to all of the workers for a job well done!

One of her film producers was hurrying her along but I begged and pleaded that she was the only designer who hasn't signed my shirt...she couldn't say no! She signed and I snapped a pic (of half of my face) while doing so!
