HOME AGAIN!

Mudder is HOME!!!!! The vet called us on Friday and said that Mudder had taken her IV out Thursday night/Friday morning. GOD BLESS HER SOUL! He warned us that she was not ready to go home but that he wanted to send her home because he could tell that she was obviously much happier during the times we went to visit her. We drove to El Paso and arrived at the vet where we payed the outrageous vet bill, picked up her medications, and purchased some wet dog food. Mudder has never been happier to see Chad & I; her tail was wagging and she was anxious to load up in the truck, of course with Chad's assistance. Mudder appears, outwardly, to be 95% better than she was on Tuesday when she couldn't even move, wouldn't eat, and was basically death walking on four legs. She is now eating and drinking everything we give her, going to the bathroom, wagging her tail, jumping around, and fetching (of course we're throwing her toys short distances and not allowing her to get dirty). She is staying in our laundry room in a kennel and she seems to love the life of an inside dog; Chad has already warned her several times that she "shouldn't get used to this"; ha! I'm so glad that we have our Mudder back! We will take her back to the vet on April 6 to have her stitches taken out and if the vet doesn't recommend another blood test we will request one to see if the infection is gone and to see if her white blood cell count is back down to normal...but for now we are happy knowing that she is home, happy and appears to be doing much better!
