Mr. Lawrence

Chad & I are SO excited because we are on the road to becoming homeowners...yes, this time I think it's really going to happen! Today we met Jeff with This Old Fire House Inspections at the house to complete our home inspection. He was overly impressed with the house and we were even more excited to hear that not only does the house appear wonderful....but it truly is! =) Jeff was wonderful with showing us the "ins and outs" and explaining "home stuff" to us, first time buyers. I appreciate his thoroughness and expertise very much!
Hildo, with HP Painting who does work for Tradition Cabinetry , also showed up to give us a quote on painting the interior of the house. He took some measurements and asked us questions and then was on his way back to the office to prepare a quote for us.
Next arrived Glades (pronounced Gladys) with TexBest who was also there to give us a quote on painting. She and her husband did the same as Hildo and we can't wait to hear back from both companies so that we can give those bare walls (AND cabinets) some personality!
We are so grateful to D'Lee our realtor and Mr. Lawrence (the seller) for their patience with Chad & I and our issues (landlord).
Today when we arrived at the house, R.L. (seller) had a few boxes in the empty breakfast nook and it made me tear up! (Chad thinks I'm crazy!) I know this home was special to him and I hope in the end he will know how very special it will also be to Chad & I! His house has been fairly empty the whole time so those few boxes just made it all real for me! I took a few pics of what Mr. Lawrence means to me.

This painting has been sitting on the floor every since we first viewed the house. I imagine this painting as something that was very special to his wife (who passed away a few years ago)...
