It was his first time to ride in the back of the truck without being locked in a "cage", so I rode with him and kept him on a leash. He seemed to love it and did lots of walking around; he only tried to jump out when we saw about 6 or 7 deer some of which were some pretty nice size bucks!
Gunner was super hesitant at the lake at first but with me in the water and him on the leash on the bank I dragged him in time after time. He did a great job swimming back to the bank; not much leisure swimming!
Toward the end of our evening at the lake Gunner, on his own, swam to Chad & I and loved trying to drown me with his huge hugs! OH I LOVE THAT BOY!
He seemed to enjoy himself more with lots of encouraging and praise.
I hope to make this trip to the water with Gunner at least a few nights a week; now only if I can talk my hubs in to accompanying us each time!
MY BABY BOY! <3
...looks like an angel; ha!
Curious George! (it's like he totally didn't even notice I was in the back with him!)
Beautiful! (his hair is starting, slowly, to grow back after we had to cut it due to all the sticker burs here!)
He sees deer!
...how does this face not make you fall in love?!?!?!?
crAzy hair!
Chad & Gunner; not sure who's more excited!
Gunner riding in the back of the truck, ALL ALONE, on the way home...SUCH A GOOD BOY!
